1. Tools to manage a running course

To successfully running the courses is the ultimate purpose of the Platform and all its applications. During the operation of the course, various tools will be available to adjust the configurations as well as to access and process the information that is generated.

1.1. Studio

Studio platform will be always the place where you create, modify and publish your course content; it’s the main tool in the course-creation process.

1.2. Staff view of course content and discussions

Course team members also know as course staff will have additional options to view, manage, and monitor learners on the LMS site.

1.2.1. Staff debug info option

Instructors will see under each component a Staff debug info button that displays important information about the problem component.

1.2.2. Staff-only content

Authors can configure content in Studio platform to be only seen by course team members; this is useful when a section, subsection, or unit is still in the creation process and should not be visible for learners yet.

Custom pages can also be configured to be accessible only by course staff users.

1.2.3. Manage discussions

Instructors will see discussions in the same way as learners do. If they are additionally granted the roles for discussion moderation or administration, they will have additional options to manage the discussions.

1.3. View the course as a specific learner

Instructors can see the course as if they were learners; this function provides instructors with a student view that can help identify errors, improvements, and any other details to change in the course content.

1.4. The LMS instructor dashboard

One of the differences course team members can see when visiting the LMS site, it’s an instructor panel that offers a set of key possibilities to monitor and manage the operation of a running course.
